KIKA, THE SMALLEST MOUSE IN THE WORLD

Short Story written by: Ulica Tizaber.

Kika was a very wise little mouse, who lived in a stationery shop where pencils, sheets, markers, notebooks, toys and books were sold. She was actually a stuffed toy inside a plastic box.

She was a happy stuffed toy, because she was doing what she liked; reading, watching people going by; and if they had a book in their hands, she used to read the title and memorize it. She didn’t know why she had that gift, but she did and, at the end of the day, she counted the number of books that had been sold and learnt new words every day.

MARK AND THE OLD CLOWN

Short Story for Kids, written by: Fernando Mansilla

The old clown would do his performance at the same time every day, in a park full of pine trees. He always wore the same threadbare costume, faded because of the passing years. Although the colors would have been wonderful in his time.

When Mark and his friends saw him coming, they went with him shouting, jumping and waving their hands full of happiness, walking with him until they came to a small square with the fountain in the middle and the four elms at the corners.

Sand Castles

Summer. What a happy and hot time! Feeling the beach sand on your feet, hearing the waves splashing on the seashore, swimming and feeling the sun on your skin. Relaxing in the sea, listening to the birds, and the seagulls flying through the skies. There are many things to enjoy on the beach. Oops! I almost forgot! the ice cream seller with chocolate ice-creams, fresh water and fruit.

A CARICATURE OF MY MUM

Short Story written by: Rotsen Zerep.

My classmates asked me what I had given my mum for Mother´s Day, and I told them I had given her her a caricature. They asked me why and I said I didn’t have money and that is why I had drawn her.

A month before Mother´s Day, I asked my mom to wake me up. When she did, she would sit and watch the news on TV, and when I had finished my breakfast I used to draw her without her even noticing.

GOBLIN FRANKY

After a long day hard at work, John, the woodcutter looked for a refuge to spend the night. He came across an abandoned house and he pushed the door, so that it creaked and went inside to have a look around.

– “This is so abandoned!” – he said in a low voice while observing the place. He dropped his bag on the floor, saying “I will try to sleep for a bit”. Then he put some blankets between some wood furniture.
